The Bulldogs were so named thanks to early press reports remarking on their tenacity (defensively, if I'm not mistaken). It has no connection with Yale (though many other University connections are so aligned).
The Gator Bowl was flooded with awesome yesterday. Go Dawgs!

Did you know UGA adopted the bulldog as their mascot because of the school's strong historical association with Yale? It's true!
