Legislating from the bench is bad, mmmkay?

Except when Priscilla Owen does it.

You should be able to sleep better tonight knowing that while our civilization may crumble because Owen is on the bench and will be destroying the very soul of our country, the Democrats in the Senate picked themselves up and wasted at least 2 or 3 more weeks that could be used to advance their bold agenda by filibustering Robert Bolton. Who, BTW, will most likely be approved anyway. But they stood up for their priniciples and kept a radical from destroying our country the way that Owen and those other wingnuts would have if the party hadn't blocked them. Sorry. Forgot Owen got thru, and so will the other wingnuts. BUT, they did stand up for a while anyway. What bold agenda items have we missed during this exercise in bravery?

Where's Bill? Bill, Baby Sis has found our latest target for us!
I'll get it going....
I think her hairdo is too conservative for me. Don't you think?

No Morty, we don't go after peoples hair, look at her opinions as the route to critique, there is plenty of fodder there.

Okay, she and the other justices that voted with her to oppress the little guy should be disbarred! How's that, Bill?

Here's an angle for you Morty, how about: She is the exact sort of activist judge the right wing complains about, but she has their hypocritical support because she is their activist judge."

mortimer duke said...

Yeah, I like it. Hypocrisy. And because it's all about "them," we don't have to find any facts to support it. We just have to keeping stating it as a tacit fact and it will become the truth! Cool.

Uh Morty, you can look up her opinons on westlaw and lexis,,,, it's not a big secret.

Thanks. Unfortunately those are subscriber services and I am not a subscriber. Tell me, which of her cases aren't to our liking?
