When your marquee wins are over the worst team in the Pac 10 and a team who lost to Hot! Hot! Hot!, you can't say anything about being #1. They are also the only one of those 3 teams to have their loss come at home.

So that leaves Mizzou and WVU, the 2 scariest offenses in the country (post-Dixon injury). I'll take the team that a) has been there before and b) improved dramatically on defense this year. I'll take WVU and give you your choice of Tosu or Mizzou and 6.5 points on a neutral field.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11250715.post-59734114053531221492007-11-26T13:23:00.000-05:002007-11-26T13:23:00.000-05:00anon 11:35,Apparently you didn't read the article,...anon 11:35,
Apparently you didn't read the article, because after we fired our head football coach, we hired The Right Head Football Coach. What would you do if Tech actually WON a game every now and then? Riot? Burn and pillage? Oh, I remember now. But of the three choices - and really, there are only three because you can't just look at a couple of recent games and argue for USC or OK among others - WVA is #1, and keep your couches hidden. Mizzou played great, I agree Zenbubba, but that was only one game. They earlier got smoked by OK and they played great against Kansas who everyone thought was a Cinderella pretender, anyway. I'll be pulling for Pitt, but honestly don't expect much to happen.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11250715.post-78090504339739069282007-11-26T09:40:00.000-05:002007-11-26T09:40:00.000-05:00I wonder if there are any old Peach Bowl banners l...I wonder if there are any old Peach Bowl banners laying around for the LSU fans to hang in the Dome? Not as if there were any doubt you'd win, as you have in over 20 of the last 30 meetings! If I were officiating, I'd assess you 15 yards for piling on the hapless Tech. I'd hate to see you after a loss to GT. A wise man once said (rule probably doesn't apply to bloggers) "When you win, say little. Both tips back to the endzone then recoveries for touchbacks, as you mentioned, but also that incredibly wrong pass interference call! I mean, I know both players wore #1, but how blind do you have to be to not see that the one wearing white pushed the one wearing gold, and not the other way around!?!?

That being said, your guys played a great game. That QB fake was brilliant, and there were a few passes that definitely deserve to be on highlight reels.

No broken toaster ovens in my house, though - but only because Jo wouldn't let me. What a spoilsport.

Oh well, maybe next year. Not that I have any problem whatsoever with Chan Gailey, but who knows what a new coach might bring.duffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08535425197012689186noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11250715.post-4592079082805775292007-11-26T08:56:00.000-05:002007-11-26T08:56:00.000-05:00Missouri should be #1.
